Working with renewable energy project developers seeking power purchase agreements and interconnection agreements with utilities and electric cooperatives, the Uda Law Firm provides the hands-on, responsive, and personable legal assistance necessary to achieve project development. The Uda Law Firm has experience in a variety of energy law issues, including transactional support on power purchase agreements, interconnection and transmission law issues, and related regulatory and litigation needs -- including arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, trial, and appellate practice.  Our project experience ranges from representing developers of small scale (under 3 MW) to large scale (160 MW) wind, solar, small hydroelectric, and generation plus energy storage projects.

The attorneys at Uda Law Firm have particular expertise in qualifying facility ("QF") project development pursuant to the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act ("PURPA") and have a proven record of success in litigating issues before state utility commissions and in court in support of PURPA QF project development. The Uda Law Firm regularly represents clients before state regulatory agencies, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and in state and federal courts.

ADMINISTRATIVE & ENVIRONMENTAL LAW

The Uda Law Firm is available to provide support on a variety of issues related to federal and state administrative and environmental rules and regulations affecting facility siting and permitting for renewable energy projects.  Depending on a project's location and size, a variety of federal, state, and local laws may be implicated requiring permitting and approval from the appropriate agency or local jurisdiction.  From the project feasibility stage to commercial operation, the attorneys at Uda Law Firm look forward to helping your project navigate the permitting, licensing, and approvals process.
